Professor Sachdeva’s research team investigates the use of exosomes as drug-delivery vehicles and the potential anticancer effects of cannabinoids. The team focuses particularly on CBD, CBG, CBC and THCV, both individually and in combination with standard chemotherapeutic agents. A significant area of his current research is the preclinical evaluation of cannabinoid and chemotherapy combinations in pancreatic cancer models.

His team has also developed an experimental oral delivery system for CBD using exosomes derived from camel milk. Results published in 2026 suggest that this technology could help protect CBD as it passes through the gastrointestinal tract and improve its oral bioavailability.

In his lecture at the Cannabis and Science Conference, Professor Sachdeva will present the latest findings on the mechanisms through which selected cannabinoid combinations may affect tumour processes in pancreatic cancer. He will also discuss their potential preclinical use alongside standard anticancer agents and the emerging therapeutic strategies arising from this research.
